Store Management
Betts Shoes (2022 - 2023)In my role as Store Manager of Betts Shoes, I was determined to harness my drive and initiative to stand out and create a lasting impact in the organisation.
I conducted a complete organisational overhaul of the entire store with a ‘brand rehabilitation’ focus. I curated an optimal customer experience by utilising my industry research skills and organisational management knowledge from my Diploma of Marketing. In combination with my aesthetic sensibilities developed from my Certificate of Creative Studies I transmuted sales figures into data backed, attractive visual merchandising and store front displays that increased foot traffic and bridged the gap between high and low selling products.
Within 3 months, I led my team to exceed the quarterly budget by $30k. Furthermore, I achieved and maintained the #1 sales position in the company for the first 10 weeks under my leadership. This resulted in the prevention of the location closure and procurement of a new 2-year lease after previous poor performance over the last few years.

Short film Production
Aoraki Polytechnic (2014)
During my first year of study, I had the opportunity to create a short independent student film as part of the academic curriculum. The project presented a series of challenges including a limited cast, budget and time frame. I was able to apply my creativity and problem-solving skills to remedy the lack of financial resources. I researched, practised and developed SFX from everyday household items. I utilised my interpersonal skills to negotiate strangers to perform as extras. Additionally, I prioritised and expedited pre-production tasks to effectively manage my time to meet the deadline.
The final project received accolades from my professor and now is utilised to demonstrate a standard example for current and future students. This gave me a sense of personal and academic accomplishment. In my future professional endeavors, I choose to continue on a pathway of creative problem solving.
